Receive Blessings and Match Your Gift
Today is the first day of Karthik, the holiest month of the year for Vaishnava Hindus. This month, Krishna’s childhood pastimes with the cows are lovingly remembered and honored. Therefore, at this time, any act of charity for the cows pleases Krishna and will be spiritually and materially reciprocated abundantly.
The Matching Gift Challenge for $25,000.00 now only needs $6,123.00 to complete. On this special day and month, take the opportunity to have your donation matched and doubled in value for the cows. You can adopt a cow, make a one-time donation, or sign up for a monthly subscription plan of your choice. Also, you receive increased blessings for your act of charity. Thank you!
United Nations Climate Change Conference
“For the first time there will be a dedicated food day, and food, agriculture and water will be the focus of at least 22 major events during the fortnight of Cop28 2023 talks in Dubai, from 30 November to 13 December, presided over by the United Arab Emirates. There will also be a dedicated Food4Climate pavilion in ExpoCity, where the talks will be held.
For the first time, too, the FAO (the Food and Agriculture Organization is a United Nations agency that works to end hunger and improve nutrition and food security) will outline how food systems must change for the world to stay within the globally agreed goal of limiting temperature rises to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels, beyond which the impacts of the climate crisis on food systems will rapidly become catastrophic, and in some cases potentially irreversible.
This research is expected to show that animal farming, for meat and dairy, must be reined back from its continued growth around the world, if targets to halve emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050 are to be met.” The GOP29 2024 climate summit will meet in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, on 11-22 November.
