Lalita came home to ISCOWP on 5/10/24. Lalita's mother died from a snake bite while in the pasture. A motherless calf is much more labor-intensive to care for, as she needs to be bottle-fed. Thus, her owner wanted to sell her as soon as possible. Your adoption of Lalita helps us ensure she will never be bred again and again, nor her babies taken from her and sent to the slaughterhouse. During the first year of her life, she was nursed and guarded by Siya, who also came home to ISCOWP on 5/10/24. Now she freely roams the pastures with her friends, eager to say hello to us humans. She is Gopi's best friend.
