He is glorified and worshipped by devotees worldwide as the merciful God who spent his childhood herding, protecting, and loving cows. Charitable acts on this day, especially to cows, bestow significant spiritual benefits upon the giver.
ISCOWPs Matching Gift Challenge, sponsored by an anonymous donor, was launched on July 13. Up to $50,000.00 will be matched in four $12,500.00 increments by the end of the year. So far, generous ISCOWP donors have given the first $12,500.00, and as of August 15, $5,422.00 has been given for the second $12,500.00!
Donors who give today for the cows will not only have their gift matched dollar for dollar but also enjoy the benefits of giving in charity on this special day. We are now at the beginning of the challenge and will announce the milestones on our Donations page and in our e-newsletters.
Today is an auspicious day to Adopt A Cow or renew a previous adoption subscription. Each year of adoption, you will receive video updates for your cow four times yearly. Help us give love, care, and a life far away from the slaughterhouse to the cow of your choice!
